GIS enhances communication between a government and its community, increasing citizen awareness of events and activities in their area. Esri community solutions make the sharing of this information easier than ever.

Through different public-facing applications, GTG helps governments share information with their community. The following are examples of some of these applications.

GreenCityGIS- A solution that offers all Parks and Recreation departments improved community awareness and engagement through geospatial story maps, walking tours, and an on-line citizen park and recreation query tool. Public facing applications offer an exciting and visually pleasing way of engaging citizens.

SafeCityGIS- Make maps available to the community that highlight their public safety officials, such as a "Meet the Officer" story map, promoting departments and officers. Other maps available feature crime maps for the public, so they can map, analyze, and chart the incidents of crime in their area.

311GIS- A public mapping application that promotes interaction between local government agencies and their citizens. It provides a community a way to easily and quickly submit problems, requests, and concerns related to local government operations, including incidents about graffiti, missing road signs, pot holes, sidewalk problems, animal control issues, and any other category of interest. Our product can be used enterprise-wide and as a way to track work requests.

GTG also utilizes other Esri community solutions for various public-facing maps for parcels, ownership, vacant properties, zoning and land use, garbage pickup times, voting and election districts, and much more. Some maps include: My Government Services, WebApp Builder for land management, and Election Polling Places.
